Just want to say thank you to the two people who left me messages on tf_valentine. If I'm right about who left one of them - ♥ Thank you. And I miss talking to you! Absolutely no idea who might have left the other one, but it really makes me happy to know that someone thinks so highly of my art. I appreciate it, whoever you are.

Trying to decide what to do about transportation to and from Botcon, and I realized that if I take Greyhound instead of Amtrak, I won't have to skip any classes after all. It's just that I've never traveled that way before, but I take trains all the time, so I don't know.

Has anyone taken a trip by Greyhound who can either recommend it or tell me hell no?

My favorite memories about fandom aren't so much of specific things as of the atmosphere in certain fandoms at certain times.

I'm not going to do this one exactly as it says in the challenge. What I'm going to do is rec the fics that I remember from when I first got into the fandom, the ones that stand out in my mind as shaping my introduction to it, selling me on my early favorite pairings or just sticking in my mind for whatever reason. And I've been around for like four years so these are going to be older fics, from 2008-2009 or earlier.

I was debating whether or not to do this because I have such a small output of fic and haven't written anything in, like... wow. Three years? And I'm one of those people who hate everything they write. Well, I go through bouts of hating everything I write - sometimes I can re-read something and find it in me not to think it's complete shit. But everyone's doing this meme and I want to do it too, so whatever.

Day 1

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.

I remember that when I started reading Transformers fic porn, I loved how completely bizarre it seemed to me, because, you know, porn about robots. And so, when I tried writing Transformers fanfic, I wanted to try to write the most off-the-wall Transformers fic I could come up with. Bizarre pairings, absurd kinks, whatever. And I wrote a handful of strange things. So I'm reccing my weird shit. Why not?
