Snowflake Challenge Day 8

In your own space, talk about a talent (or talents) you have. Everyone's got something they're good at.



Actually, this one was hard for me. There are lots of things I know I'm good at, or I've been told I'm good at, but IDK, most of them seem kind of pointless things to talk about.

Okay, I'm good at decorating. I'm very visual, and I'm good at creating visually interesting spaces, at things like deciding how to arrange art on a wall or furniture in a room or books on a shelf (or, lol, piles of rocks on a coffee table) for the most impact. My personal aesthetic is kind of a wabi-sabi-ish mix of ultra modern and shabby chic incorporating lots of natural elements, but I love helping other people make their spaces beautiful, whatever that means to them, and I guess I'm decent enough at it because I'm a lot of people's go-to person when they want opinions or to drag someone out shopping with them or whatever (my other talent - I'm good at making people spend money), even if their aesthetic is completely different to mine.

The other thing about ~being very visual - I have a ridiculously good visual and spatial memory, which I think is a big part of what makes me good at a lot of the other things I'm good at. Of the most relevance to me right now, I find that it's useful in geology.

That is a talent. Actually, to me, that's kind of a superpower. *is not very visual. like at all. is impressed*

It's a fun talent to have, but it does have drawbacks. I can't concentrate on anything if my house is messy, for example.
